Offered is an authentic hand-signed cut signature of Colonel George "Bud" Day (1925-2013). This signature was personally signed in pencil and originates from a historic Gathering of Eagles Foundation lithograph.  This is one of the only GOE cuts that was signed Col. Geo Bud Day, typically signed Bud Day or Col Bud Day.

The signature has been professionally authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA, providing long-term preservation and protection for this highly collectible autograph.

About George "Bud" Day

Colonel George "Bud" Day (1925-2013) was a United States Air Force fighter pilot, attorney, prisoner of war, and recipient of the Medal of Honor, the nation's highest military award for valor. Widely regarded as one of the most decorated American servicemen in history, Day served with distinction during World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.

While flying combat missions over North Vietnam, Day was shot down and captured by enemy forces. Despite severe injuries, he escaped captivity and attempted to return to friendly lines before being recaptured. During years of imprisonment, he endured extraordinary hardships while demonstrating remarkable courage, leadership, and resistance.

For his heroism and unwavering devotion to duty, Day received the Medal of Honor, along with numerous other military decorations.
