Major General Frank "Pete" Everest Jr. (1920-2004) was a United States Air Force fighter pilot, Korean War ace, and legendary experimental test pilot. During World War II and the Korean War, Everest distinguished himself as a combat aviator before becoming one of the most respected test pilots of the jet age.
