About Eino Juutilainen

Eino Ilmari Juutilainen (1914-1999) was Finland's highest-scoring fighter ace and is widely recognized as the highest-scoring non-German fighter ace of World War II. Serving with the Finnish Air Force, Juutilainen achieved an extraordinary 94 confirmed aerial victories during the Winter War and Continuation War, establishing one of the most remarkable combat records in aviation history.

Flying aircraft such as the Brewster Buffalo and Messerschmitt Bf 109, Juutilainen demonstrated exceptional combat skill and leadership throughout his wartime career. Remarkably, despite his extensive combat service and numerous aerial engagements, he was never shot down by enemy aircraft.

His achievements earned him Finland's highest military honors and secured his place among the greatest fighter pilots of the twentieth century.
