Offered is an authentic hand-signed "Angels of Okinawa" aviation print personally signed by Archie Donahue, one of the United States Marine Corps' most accomplished fighter aces of World War II.

This dramatic artwork was created by renowned aviation artist Stan Stokes and commemorates the courageous Marine aviators who fought during the Battle of Okinawa, one of the largest and most significant campaigns of the Pacific War. The unframed print measures approximately 11.5" x 16" and has been hand signed by Archie Donahue.

About Archie Donahue

Major Archie Donahue (1917-2007) was one of the United States Marine Corps' leading fighter aces of World War II, credited with 14 aerial victories during combat operations in the Pacific Theater.

Flying the legendary Vought F4U Corsair, Donahue distinguished himself during some of the fiercest air combat of the war. His combat achievements came during a period when Marine aviators played a critical role in supporting Allied operations across the Pacific and defending American forces against increasingly desperate Japanese air attacks.

Donahue is particularly remembered for his service during the Battle of Okinawa, where Marine fighter squadrons faced relentless enemy resistance while protecting Allied ships and ground forces. The campaign proved to be one of the most difficult and costly operations of the Pacific War.

Following the war, Donahue continued his military career and remained an important figure in Marine Corps aviation history. His autobiography, The Devil's Brigade, helped preserve the story of Marine fighter aviation for future generations.
